Using the Stockpress plugin for InDesign
Opening an InDesign package from the Stockpress plugin
To work on an InDesign file from your Stockpress workspace, you'll need to open the entire package. Adobe requires that you save this package on your local machine to work on it, but you can save versions back to Stockpress with just one click!
To open a package, navigate to the InDesign file in the Stockpress plugin. Hover over the file and click the open as a package icon.
Select a location on your computer to temporarily save the InDesign package and click Open.
Once the package has been downloaded, you'll see it in your InDesign workspace.
Saving a new InDesign package to Stockpress
If you are working on an InDesign package, you can save it to your Stockpress workspace without uploading it.
With the file open, click the Save button in the top-right corner of the Mini. Clicking this will automatically start an upload into your Stockpress workspace.
Placing images
While working on a package in InDesign, you can place any image file from your Stockpress Mini into your document.
To place an image file as a layer, hover over the file you want and click Insert.
Select or create a folder on your local machine to save the file to. In this case, I can select Images to keep the package together.
Click and drag to place the image into your InDesign file.
Saving versions of your package to Stockpress
After making changes to your InDesign package, you can save a new version back to your Stockpress workspace. All files within your package will be uploaded in bulk and will replace the previous versions visible in your workspace. All versions can be viewed or reverted in your workspace at any time.
To save a version of your package, with the InDesign file open, click the Save button in the top-right corner of the Mini. This will open a modal where you can select the COLLECTION in your Stockpress workspace where your package is currently saved. This will trigger bulk versioning. File names that match will be versioned, and new files added will be saved into the workspace as new files.
