Adding tags to your files is a crucial way to ensure you can find what you’re looking for effectively. You can add tags while uploading or editing files, either one at a time or in bulk.

All Stockpress workspaces have AI tagging enabled by default. After an upload, tags are automatically added to image files. You can turn off AI tagging at any time in your workspace settings area.

You can also add tags manually under our customizable Tag Categories. Find out more about custom Tag Categories here.

Adding tags while uploading

From the upload modal, after adding a title or description metadata, scroll down to the custom Tag Categories section. Your instance's first custom Tag Category will be Tags by default. You can change or delete this category at any time.

Under each Tag Category listed, you can type the tag you would like to add. If the tag has previously been added to files in your workspace, it will appear as you type and allow you to select it. If it is a new tag, you will be able to create it.

You can bulk tag all of your files at once or select specific files to tag. This is particularly useful if you are uploading a group of similar files that contain different content. For example, you want to add a specific tag to only two of the files you're uploading.

After adding your tags, click save, and the files will be uploaded to your workspace. If AI tagging is enabled, the AI tags will appear on your files within minutes.
