Saving new Versions and Editions
Saving your crop
Once you are finished editing your image, you can save it as a new file (Edition), a new file (Version), download it immediately, or a combination of all three!
New file Edition
Saving a new file edition will add your newly edited file as a downloadable option in your single file view. After you have finished your edit, you can give your new Edition a name and then click the Save a new edition option from the Save new button.
Once the Edition has been saved, it will appear under the Editions toggle in the single file view sidebar.
New file Editions are NOT visible as separate files in your workspace but are always viewable as an Edition of the original file to download.
If you want your new edited file Edition to be visible in the workspace as a separate file, click the Show in workspace icon on the new file Edition.
This will bring up the Access & Share modal, where you can toggle on Show in workspace. The Access & Share modal will default to the same access settings as the original file. If the original file has Open visibility, the new Edition will also default to Open. If the original file has Teams and users assigned, the new Edition will also default to those Teams and users. You can adjust the access before clicking Done.
Note: Separated file Editions will be visible in the same Collection as the original file, always connected to it, and viewable under the Editions toggle. They are also searchable and filterable as their own file.
New file Version
If you want to replace the original file with your new edit, you can save it as a new file Version. After you finish your edit, click the Save a new version option from the Save new button. The edited file will now be visible as the primary file in your workspace.
The original file will always be available under the Version menu at the top right of the navigation bar next to the Image Editor icon. You can restore or delete the original version or any additional versions at any time from the Versions dropdown menu.
One-time download
To download your crop as a one-off file, or after you have saved it as a new Edition and/or a new Version, click the down arrow on the Editions button and select Download.
