The image editor tool allows users to crop, resize, rotate, or flip images to standard social media sizes, custom dimensions, saved presets, and more.
Admin, Manager, and User* roles all have the ability to edit images. To restrict image editing, you can create a custom role. Learn more about custom roles here.
*User roles will be unable to save new versions of files that do not belong to them in the workspace.
Using the image editor
From the single file view of any image, select the Image Editor icon at the top right of the navigation bar.
Cropping and editing options
From the Image Editor modal, you can rotate, flip, and/or select a social media or preset size for cropping.
Rotate
You can rotate your image horizontally or vertically by 90º at a time or by entering a custom rotation number in the degrees input box.
Flip
Flip your image horizontally or vertically, and rotate and/or crop it for an even more customized edit.
Crop
You can select from a preset social media size, create a custom size on the fly, or select from presets made by your workspace admins.
Preset sizes include:
Facebook: Post - 1200 x 630px, Cover Photo - 851 x 315 px
Instagram: Reels - 1080 x 1920 px, Square - 1080 x 1080 px, Vertical Photo - 1080 x 1350 px, Profile Photo - 320 x 320 px

If your workspace has saved presets, you can select one from the Saved Presets option from the Crop options dropdown. To create a preset, select Create a preset size here.
Your Workspace Settings area will open in a new window with the Image Editor tab open. Select the + Add preset button to create a custom height and width preset.
Saving your crop
Once you are finished editing your image, you can save it as a new file Edition, a new file Version, download it immediately, or a combination of all three!
New file Edition
Saving a new file edition will add your newly edited file as a downloadable option in your single file view. After you have finished your edit, you can give your new Edition a name and then click the Save a new edition button.
Once the Edition has been saved, it will appear under the Editions toggle in the single file view sidebar.
New file Editions are NOT visible as separate files in your workspace but are always viewable as an Edition of the original file to download.
If you want your new edited file Edition to be visible in the workspace as a separate file, click the Show in workspace icon on the new file Edition.
This will bring up the Access & Share modal, where you can toggle on Show in workspace. The Access & Share modal will default to the same access settings as the original file. If the original file has Open visibility, the new Edition will also default to Open. If the original file has Teams and users assigned, the new Edition will also default to those Teams and users. You can adjust the access before clicking Done.
Note: Separated file Editions will be visible in the same Collection as the original file, always connected to it, and viewable under the Editions toggle. They are also searchable and filterable as their own file.
New file Version
If you want to replace the original file with your new edit, you can save it as a new file Version. After you finish your edit, click the down arrow on the Edition button and select Save a new version. The edited file will now be visible as the primary file in your workspace.
The original file will always be available under the Version menu at the top right of the navigation bar next to the Image Editor icon. You can restore or delete the original version or any additional versions at any time from the Versions dropdown menu.
Download
To download your crop as a one-off file, or after you have saved it as a new Edition and/or a new Version, click the down arrow on the Editions button and select Download.
New Editions can also be downloaded from the download icon in the top left navigation menu when viewed in the single file view.
