By default, we generate thumbnail previews for all file types in your Stockpress workspace—but sometimes, you might not like the result!

Let's see how you can add a custom thumbnail to any non-image (jpg, png, heic, tif, etc) file type or any Link Card in your Stockpress workspace.

Change the thumbnail on a single file

Click the three-dot icon and select Change thumbnail from a single file or in the single file preview. In this case, I want to add a custom thumbnail to this mp4 video.

Upload or enter a custom thumbnail

From the modal, you can enter the UUID from a file already in your workspace or upload an image from your computer.

Note: a file UUID can be found in the three-dot menu on any file.

To upload a custom thumbnail, click the upload button and select the file you want to replace the thumbnail with.

Select a custom thumbnail

Click the confirm button to replace the thumbnail with your new file.

You can remove your custom thumbnail anytime by returning to the three-dot menu, selecting Change thumbnail, and clicking the Remove thumbnail button in the modal.

When you remove a custom thumbnail, it might take up to a minute to generate a new preview in your workspace.
