Add customizable prefix and suffix labels and templates for your files that can be applied when uploading files.

Add your custom filenames in the upload modal

In the upload modal, you can start by adding a general name to your files.

From the Advanced tab, toggle on Add file name prefix to select your options.

Choose your label. Select from numbers, lowercase letters, or uppercase letters. Then pick your separator style.

Advanced settings for prefix and suffix

If this isn’t your first upload in the set, you can start the sequence of your labels from a certain point by clicking the settings icon.

Repeat the same with the suffix toggle as needed.

Set default settings for prefix and suffix

If your workspace has default settings for prefix and suffix templates, you can select that as an option or set your own default settings in your user profile.

Once the files are uploaded to your workspace, you can edit the prefix, file name, and suffix independently in the single file view.

Clear prefix and suffix

Or, clear the prefixes in bulk from the edit modal.

File name prefix and suffix settings

To create your own personal default settings for prefix and suffix templates, head to your user profile and click on file name prefix and suffix.

Toggle on prefix or suffix, select your label and separator, and click save.

Your individual settings will now be available in the upload modal.

Prefix and suffix workspace settings

If you’re a workspace admin, you can set workspace defaults in the settings area.

Under Files and Collections, select file name prefix and suffix and make your selections. If you’d like to force the workspace defaults for all users in your workspace, you can toggle on force workspace defaults and click save.
