My video quality seems to be reduced in Stockpress

Why are file sizes and resolution being reduced when videos are uploaded to Stockpress?

Stockpress does not compress or reduce any files uploaded to your workspace. However, iOS automatically converts HEVC videos to H.264 when transferring via AirDrop, iMessage, iCloud download, or plugging into a computer, unless a specific setting is changed.

There are a few options you can do to change this.

Option 1: Change the iPhone transfer setting

This fix will preserve the original HEVC file every time.

  1. Open Settings on the iPhone

  2. Select Apps → Photos

  3. Scroll down to "Transfer to Mac or PC"

  4. Select "Keep Originals" (instead of "Automatic")

When "Keep Originals" is selected, the iPhone will transfer the HEVC-encoded file as-is instead of converting it to H.264.

Option 2: Upload directly from phone browser

Open a browser on your phone and go to your workspace URL. Log in and use our mobile browser to upload your videos directly from your phone.

Once you have selected the file or files from your library, tap the three dots menu and select Options. Change the format from Automatic to Current. If left on Automatic, the uploaded file is converted. If switched to Current, the original file uploads correctly.
