If you plan to add metadata to your files before you upload or import them into Stockpress, you can enable metadata mapping and we'll automatically add titles, descriptions, tags, and more to your files in your workspace.
Mapping from Photo Mechanic
By default, when enabled, we'll map the following fields from Photo Mechanic to Stockpress.
Description/Caption --> Stockpress Description field
Headline --> Stockpress Name field
Keywords --> Stockpress default Keyword custom category
If you need additional fields mapped, please contact us at help@stockpress.co and we can connect additional fields such as Creator/Photographer or Credit.
Uploading files to Stockpress
When metadata mapping is enabled in your workspace, you'll see a new option in your upload modal to switch from manual metadata, where you add details manually, to automatic.
When you select automatic metadata mapping, fields for title, description, and custom categories will be removed and we'll pull directly from the metadata of the file.
