With Stockpress Facial Recognition, we use AI to identify people in images throughout your workspace helping you save time on manual tagging.

With Facial Recognition enabled, you can do the following:

Identifying and naming people

After files are uploaded, we'll look for people in your images.

Automatically identify people with Facial Recognition

Once they're identified, if the face matches a previously identified person, it will automatically add the person's name and contain a green outline around the face in the picture. If they are not identified, they will have a white outline, and you will be able to add a new name or select from a name already in the workspace.

Name an unidentified face with Facial Recognition

To name an unidentified person, click the Name this person field in the sidebar to open the People modal. Type the name of the person and click save, or select from an already-named person in the dropdown.

Select person with facial recognition on the image

You can also click the three-dot menu next to the unidentified person and select Select person to open the People modal.

View all images

Once a person has been identified, you can view all images that match, regardless of whether you have tagged the person.

View all facial recognition images

To view all images associated with that person, you can click the View all images icon in the sidebar or in the dropdown menu on the person tag over the image thumbnail.

View all people tagged by Facial Recognition

This will open the All Files area, filtered to the tagged person. You can use our search or dynamic filters at any time to select a person who has been tagged.

Merge people

From the People tab in your sidebar, you'll see all the identified people, grouped together. You can merge a person with another person, edit a person, and view all images associated with a person.

Merge people

To merge, select the person you want to merge, click the three-dot icon, and then select Merge.

Merge a facial recognition person

From the merge modal, type the person you want to merge your selection with, and then click Save.

Change a person

You can change a person's name from the People page, or in the single file view

Edit modal for facial recognition

To edit the name of a person on the People page, select Edit name from the three-dot menu on the thumbnail. From the Edit modal, you can rename the person and click Save.

Change a person in facial recognition

To edit from the single file view, click the dropdown menu on the person tag over the image thumbnail and select Change person. You can also click the three-dot icon in the sidebar and select Change person.

From the modal, change the name or select an already-named person and click Save.

Delete people

To delete a person tag from your workspace, navigate to the People page. Please note that deleting a person tag does NOT delete the images associated with it, only the tag.

Delete a face from facial recognition

Click the three-dot icon from the thumbnail of the person you would like to delete and select Delete.

Hide a face in an image

If facial recognition has identified a face that you do not want to name, or isn't correct, you can hide it from the image.

Hide face from facial recognition

From the single file view, click the three-dot icon in the sidebar and select Hide face.

This will remove the identification and hide them from the People page.

Show hidden faces from facial recognition

Once someone is hidden, you can always show them again by clicking the Show hidden faces checkbox.
